Which, as Laura Rozen points out, raises a very interesting question:
Why did they act like it was not authorized at all? Why did they deny Libby and Rove's involvement? Why did they spend months obfuscating about who might have been involved?
Why the cover up?
Update: Interesting as Laura's question (and the disclosure which underlies it) may be, fubar reminds us over at Needlenose that its legal significance may be zilch, given that Scooter is charged with lying to the grand jury, not disclosing classified information.
