The €500 notes are popularly known in Spain as "Bin Ladens" because like the al-Qaida leader, everybody knows they are around but hardly anyone has seen them.

Actually, the article's kind of interesting - it's about how Spain has somehow acquired about 25% of the €500 notes, but no one seems to know where they've all gone....
