Still Kicking

I've been fighting a bug (i.e., a virus; to the best of my knowledge, my phone isn't tapped) for the last several days, and now I have a crushing workload to get through. I'll be scarce for another day or two. In the meanwhile, by way of gratuitous linkdumping, check out Fafblog!'s frequently asked question - namely, "Why are we in Iraq?" Here's a sample:
Q. Whew! Is democracy on the march?

A. Democracy was on the march. Sadly, freedom and democracy were caught in a blizzard and freedom was forced to eat democracy to survive.

Q. It died as it lived: sautéed in garlic sauce with a side of scalloped potatoes.

A. Democracy is survived by sectarian violence and fanaticism. In lieu of flowers, please send a coherent exit strategy.

If only you could get analysis like that on the Sunday morning bobblehead shows, it might be worth tuning in from time to time.
