Judge Not

Do you think I exaggerate when I say that the rule of law is dead? I think not:
A U.S. federal judge has dismissed Maher Arar’s lawsuit claiming American officials deported him to Syria to be tortured.

In a ruling Thursday in New York, Judge David Trager said he can’t review the decision of U.S. authorities because it’s a matter of national security and foreign relations.

Sad and infuriating, but not at all unexpected.
