Veterans' Day

Take a moment this morning to thank the millions of men and women who have served this country so honorably, both in war and in peacetime.

Let us also take a moment to recall the original meaning of the holiday, once known as Armistice Day (or Remembrance Day, for our British Commonwealth friends, among others), set aside to commemorate the end of the War to End All Wars. Of course, as it happened, not so much - but it was a nice thought.
