Very Important Things

It appears as though the most likely timeline of events would have Patrick Fitzgerald asking the grand jury for indictments today, such indictments remaining under seal, with no public announcement until tomorrow or Friday (see here, and here). In the meanwhile, of course, the sliming has commenced and is in full swing:
He’s a vile, detestable, moralistic person with no heart and no conscience who believes he’s been tapped by God to do very important things," one White House ally said, referring to special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald.

Funny ... that description reminds me of someone - it's the "believes he’s been tapped by God" part, in particular, that rings a bell - but I can't quite put my finger on it....

Update: The New York Times is reporting that the White House anticipates an announcement as soon as today. But that's the Times - not exactly a reliable source.
