Respect My Authority!

Suppose you were a high-ranking official in the Veterans Health Administration - an agency which recently revealed an unexpected budget shortfall of over one billion dollars (assuming that by "unexpected," one means expected by almost everyone outside of the agency itself). What would be your "top priority," requiring "daily updates" because you "cannot stress the importance of this enough?"

Obviously, it would be the failure of underlings to promptly and prominently display portraits of VA Secretary Jim Nicholson at all VA facilities. You see, it's all about supporting our troops, because if Nicholson's smug puss isn't leering over you as you explain to some poor veteran that, whatever his or her problem might be, it ain't covered by VA benefits, then the terrorists have already won.
