First, returning to the story I mentioned here about the Washington state Department of Revenue letting wealthy collectors off the hook for taxes owed on art purchased from out of state, the state has now announced that it would like its money, please, if that wouldn't be too much trouble.
Also, fans of such formerly-extinct species as the ivory-billed woodpecker will be pleased to learn that the Mount Diablo buckwheat is back among the living. Congratulations are due to this plucky little wildflower.
