Air America Comes to Seattle!

My hometown readers should know, if they didn't know already, that Air America is now broadcasting in the Seattle area. The station - the call letters are KPTK - can be found at 1090 on the AM band.

The only downside to this story is that KPTK replaces KYCW, a "classic country" station which featured country and western music from the '50s, '60s, and (unfortunately) '70s. KYCW was the only outlet for this important and entertaining American music other than the "Swinging Doors" program on KEXP. The loss of KYCW is just one more good reason to catch Don Slack's excellent program (at 90.3 FM for you locals, or online at kexp.org) every Thursday night.
